Traders also paid attention to macro statistics for the country. Thus, producer prices in the US rose by 2.8% yoy, with an expected increase of 2.9%, in monthly terms they decreased by 0.3%, with a forecast of a decline of 0.1%.

At the close in the New York Stock Exchange, the Dow Jones fell 0.68%, the S&P 500 rose 0.08%, the NASDAQ Composite index rose 0.39%.

Nike Inc (NYSE:NKE) was the leading gainer in the Dow Jones Index today, up 6.08 points or 5.69% to close at 112.86. Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) rose 1.67 points or 4.92% to close at 35.58. Walmart Inc (NYSE:WMT) rose 1.57 points or 1.01% to close at 156.87.

The least gainers were UnitedHealth Group Incorporated (NYSE:UNH), which shed 31.45 points or 6.40% to end the session at 459.86. Boeing Co (NYSE:BA) was up 3.48 points (1.58%) to close at 216.90, while The Travelers Companies Inc (NYSE:TRV) was down 2.57 points (1.58%) to close at 216.90. .46%) and finished trading at 173.55.

Among the S&P 500 index components gainers in today's trading were Nike Inc (NYSE:NKE), which rose 5.69% to 112.86, Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC), which gained 4.92%, to close at 35.58, and NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA), which edged up 4.81% to close at 429.97.

The least gainers were Humana Inc (NYSE:HUM), which shed 11.24% to close at 455.00. Shares of CVS Health Corp (NYSE:CVS) shed 7.76% to end the session at 66.65. Centene Corp (NYSE:CNC) was down 6.95% to 64.64.

Among the components of the NASDAQ Composite index gains today were DatChat Inc (NASDAQ:DATS), which rose 89.84% to 0.82, WeTrade Group Inc (NASDAQ:WETG), which gained 70.73%. , to close at 14.41, and Blue Water Vaccines Inc (NASDAQ:BWV), which rose 62.03% to close at 1.28.

The least gainers were Tenon Medical Inc (NASDAQ:TNON), which shed 52.91% to close at 0.29. Shares of Advanced Human Imaging Ltd ADR (NASDAQ:AHI) shed 41.33% to end the session at 0.88. IperionX Limited ADR (NASDAQ:IPX) was down 36.11% to 8.44.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the number of securities that fell in price (1810) exceeded the number of those that closed in positive territory (1155), while quotes of 92 shares remained virtually unchanged. On the NASDAQ stock exchange, 2,307 companies fell in price, 1,229 rose, and 149 remained at the level of the previous close.

CVS Health Corp (NYSE:CVS) stock tumbled to a 52-week low, shedding 7.76% or 5.61 points to close at 66.65. Shares of NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) surged to an all-time high, up 4.81% or 19.75 points to close at 429.97. Walmart Inc (NYSE:WMT) shares rose to a 52-week high, up 1.01% or 1.57 points to close at 156.87. Tenon Medical Inc (NASDAQ:TNON) stock tumbled to all-time lows, down 52.91% or 0.33 points to close at 0.29.

The CBOE Volatility Index, which is based on S&P 500 options trading, fell 5.00% to 13.88.

Gold futures for August delivery lost 0.07%, or 1.35, to hit $1.00 a troy ounce. In other commodities, WTI July futures fell 1.08%, or 0.75, to $68.67 a barrel. Brent crude for August delivery fell 0.96%, or 0.71, to $73.58 a barrel.

Meanwhile, in the Forex market, the EUR/USD pair remained unchanged 0.37% to 1.08, while USD/JPY fell 0.17% to hit 139.98.

Futures on the USD index fell 0.37% to 102.55.
